Keep swimming

Being in a state of constant fear is like swimming in a lake focusing on grabbing the lifeline. As if the only thing that matters in life is the rescue. I think I learnt that from one of my favorite Swedish authors, Torgny Lindgren. I don’t think the answer lies in gripping life. I don’t think it enjoys being squeezed. But one thing is for sure: if we place the emphasis on the lifeline, we miss out on the swim.
