I just realized that watching one hour of TV per night adds up to 365 hours per year. That does not sound so bad, until we divide that by the number of waking hours per day, let’s say 18 for argument’s sake. That adds up to 20 days watching TV in one year. I find that kind of frightening. The biggest fear is probably the retroactive opportunity cost: what else could I have done with that time?
